About the Artist
Magdalena Dafforne is an award-winning cosmetic tattoo artist specialising in natural-looking permanent makeup, medical tattooing, and confidence-restoring treatments. Her journey into the beauty industry began over 20 years ago, driven by a lifelong passion for art, aesthetics, and helping people feel their best.
From a young age, Magda was naturally creative and fascinated by the transformative power of beauty. Although traditional makeup artistry captured her interest, it was the prospect of creating long-lasting results that truly inspired her. In 2005, she entered the beauty industry through nail technology, where she developed a strong foundation in precision, client care, and artistic detail.
The Covid-19 pandemic became a turning point in her career. With time to reflect and reassess her professional path, Magda rediscovered her passion for permanent makeup. She began her training in microblading before expanding her expertise into powder brows, lip blush tattooing, eyeliner, scar revision, and medical tattooing. Since then, she has trained with some of the industry's most respected educators, continually refining her techniques and investing in advanced education to deliver the highest standards of treatment and care.
Today, Magda is recognised not only for her artistry but also for her compassionate approach to helping clients regain confidence. She works extensively with individuals affected by hair loss due to chemotherapy, radiotherapy, alopecia, and trichotillomania, creating natural-looking eyebrows that help restore self-esteem and a sense of identity. She also supports breast cancer survivors through areola and nipple tattooing following reconstruction surgery, helping women feel whole again after treatment. Additionally, Magda proudly provides gender-affirming services for transgender clients, offering a safe, understanding, and supportive environment throughout their journey.
Her dedication to excellence has been recognised through multiple industry awards and nominations:
-
2024 – Finalist in the Brow Awards UK and finalist for Best PMU Artist of the Year at the HBA Awards, ranking 17th in the UK.

Whether restoring confidence after cancer treatment, enhancing natural beauty through permanent makeup, or helping clients feel more comfortable in their own skin, Magda believes every treatment should be a collaborative journey. Her goal is simple: to create results that look effortless, feel empowering, and help every client leave feeling like the very best version of themselves.

FAQ
Does PMU hurt?
Clients compare sensation with the one that they feel when plucking out their eyebrows or light scratching. In addition, with women having period there is an increased sensitivity to pain. It is possible to use numbing agents in the form of cream or liquid, to completely eliminate pain during the treatment.. most of my clients are falling asleep during the treatment even without any numbing ;)
Saying that, if you've booked in for eyeliner or lips, you'll be completly numbed to eliminate pain and discomfort.
- please DO NOT apply anything without consulting us - some numbing agents
make pigment implantation very difficult which compromises healed results!
Pain management is a team work..
✨ that’s on YOU:
* don’t drink caffeine beverages on the day of your appointment (no coffee tea, energy drinks, coke ect)
👉🏼Caffeine makes you more sensitive & thins your blood
* don’t drink alcohol 48h leading to procedure (same effect as caffeine)
* don’t smoke
👉🏼Nicotine causes hypersensitivity
* moisturise and scrub during the week leading to procedure
👉🏼Needle will go smoothly in & out without catching on dry skin causing unnecessary discomfort. It’ll also ensure even healed results without patches where there was dry skin.
* rest well and hydrate
👉🏼 Lack of sleep and dehydration makes you to feel more
* schedule your appointment before or after the period
👉🏼 Have you noticed you’re more sensitive during? Not only our emotions are playing up 😉
* try to book and early slot
👉🏼 Your pain threshold is naturally higher in the morning and decreasing during the day
✨ that’s on ME
* consistent technique
👉🏼 Slow and steady wins the race, I won’t be rushing
* effective pain management
👉🏼 Numbing cream lasts through the procedure and is reapplied when necessary,
I’ll make sure you’re comfortable and pain free
*communication
👉🏼 I’ll keep on checking on you throughout the procedure time so you don’t suffer in silence
How long does it last for?
For how long the pigment will be retained mostly depends on the skin oiliness, aftercare, sun exposure and your skincare and lifestyle. The oilier the skin is the shorter pigment retention is. Sun exposure also affect pigment retention. On average, expected time until new refreshment of pigment is:
1-2 years for Powder Brows & Nano Stokes
2-4 years for Lip Tattoo (more saturated work lasts longer)
2-3 years for Eyeliner.
Do I have to have a "top-up" (perfecting session)?
PMU is a two-part process.
Healed result is expected to heal 30-40% lighter and softer compared to freshly done work.
Correction is done 8-12 weeks after the treatment.
Once healing is completely done, it is advised to add the pigment that was lost during the initial healing process.
But, you might be perfectly happy with results and lucky to retain all pigment after one session.
How successful the treatment will be?
It depends on:
-
skin quality
-
how well you've prepared your skin for the treatment (pre-care advice)
-
how strict you've been with advised post-treatment care
-
exposure to various external influences
-
your body's reaction to implanted ink.
None of these factors are under the Artist’s control.
Pre & Post-treatment care makes 70% of total treatment success.
Conscientiously stick and adhere to the given advice, otherwise you can prematurely lose implanted pigment.
Cleaning and applying the cream is of great significance.
Why do I have to pay booking fee?
Navigating booking fees can indeed be confusing for many. Allow me to shed some light on the matter. A booking fee isn’t merely a line item on your receipt; it signifies much more. It serves as both a guarantee of your reservation and a safeguard for the time allocated to you by your service provider. Contrary to popular belief, it’s not a charge for simply clicking “book” but rather a recognition of the value of the reserved time. When you schedule an appointment, that time slot is earmarked for you, often leading to other clients being turned away. Should you cancel, especially last minute, the likelihood of that time being utilized diminishes significantly. This is where the reservation fee steps in. Essentially, it’s compensation for the time set aside exclusively for you, time that cannot be reallocated to another client at a moment’s notice. Its significance extends beyond mere business transactions; it’s rooted in mutual respect and understanding. Additionally, it’s important to note that each business establishes its own policies regarding booking fees. As a gesture of goodwill, we permit one rescheduling opportunity (with minimum of 72h notice) the booking fee being transferred to a new slot. However, subsequent reschedules will incur a new booking fee (no 72h window applies). For a comprehensive understanding of our policies,
please refer to Our Policy.
Are other clients or staff present in the beauty room at the time of my appointment?
Our beauty room set up consists of two beauty beds side by side separated by room divider, therefore there is a great chance of another client being treated on secondary station. Specification of the premises doesn't allow us to make it any more private with toilet access from beauty room.
Treatments such as ISR or Areola & Nipple Tattoo are booked in on days when none else is present in the beauty room to ensure your privacy and confidentiality.
You're always welcomed to request private booking if you wish.
Can I have Beauty Treatments, BØTØX or Fillers?
Abrasive treatments such as peelings, fruit acids, chemical peels, laser treatments and similar
should be avoided a month before the treatment.
Also, 1 month before and after the treatment, BØTØX or fillers should not be used around tattooed area.
No Retinol 3 months prior and after treatment.
No brow or lash serums 2 months prior and after (if you're having brows or liner tattoo).
No eyelash extensions 4 weeks prior and after eyeliner tattoo.
What about Health & Safety?
Treatment is done by using sterile and single use disposable tools and needles, while pigments are of the highest standard. All pigments used during the treatment are sterile and of the highest quality.
